Keep your hours right everywhere people look

Wrong hours send customers to a locked door. A short checklist for keeping your website and your Google Business Profile in step.

By Componion1 min read

Few things frustrate a customer more than driving over and finding the door locked. Most of the time the cause is simple: the hours changed in one place but not another.

Where your hours live

Your hours usually show up in more places than you think:

  1. Your website (often on the homepage, the contact page, and the footer)
  2. Your Google Business Profile, which feeds Google Search and Maps
  3. Social profiles like Facebook and Instagram
  4. Delivery and booking apps

Write the list down once. When your hours change, you'll know every place to update.

Set special hours before holidays

Google Business Profile has a special hours setting for holidays and one-off closures. Set them a week or two ahead, so people searching on the day see the right answer.

Say it on your website too

Add a short line near the top of your homepage when something is different:

Closed Monday, October 13. Back to normal hours Tuesday.

It takes a minute and saves a lot of wasted trips.

Let Componion keep an eye on it

When you connect Google in Componion, Sibuyas can compare the hours on your website with your Business Profile and suggest a to-do when they don't match. You decide what to change. Nothing is updated without you.
