Make your phone number a tap-to-call link
Most people find you on their phone. A tap-to-call link turns "I'll call them later" into a call right now. Here's how to add one.

When someone finds your business on their phone, the next step is often a call. If your number is plain text, they have to copy it, switch apps, and paste it. Some of them won't bother.
A tap-to-call link fixes that. One tap, and their phone offers to call you.
Check your site first
Open your website on your own phone and tap your phone number.
- If your phone offers to call, you're all set.
- If nothing happens, or it just highlights the text, keep reading.

How to add it
A tap-to-call link is a normal link that starts with tel: instead of https:. Use your full number with the country code and no spaces:
<a href="tel:+15125550134">(512) 555-0134</a>
The part people see can look however you like. The part after tel: is what the phone dials.
On WordPress
- Edit the page or the header where your number shows.
- Select the number and click the link button.
- Type
tel:+15125550134(with your own number) and save.
On Wix, Squarespace, or Shopify
Most site builders have a Phone option in the link menu. Pick it, type your number, and save. If you only see a web address box, type tel: followed by your number.
Put it where people look
Add the link in the places a visitor checks first:

One more quick win
While you're editing, check that your hours are on your homepage too. "Are they open right now?" is the question right before "Let me call them."
